Area Olympian Throws Out First Pitch at Dodger Game

Kate Hansen finished 10th in Women's Singles Luge at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.

Olympic luger Kate Hansen of La Canada Flintridge threw a ceremonial first pitch at Monday night's Los Angeles Dodgers-Philadelphia Phillies game at Dodger Stadium and declared, "It's time for Dodger baseball."

For extra fun watch Hansen dance to Beyonce, dancing on The Queen Latifah Show and twerking on the White House front lawn.

An honorary first pitch was thrown by Meredith, Chris and Cam Jobe, three of the four sons of the late pioneering orthopedic surgeon Frank Jobe, who died March 6 at the age of 88. The Dodgers announced today that their training room would be named for Jobe.
