Three points: 1. What the hell do jets flying overhead have to do with this story? 2. Marty, I want to know where the dessert area of LA is...Sounds YUMMY! 3. Lisa, you might try looking UP...That's where the jets are...

Yo mtnmanmike The following is a smartypance answer to your shmarky one. 1) It was an open question. I knew that if I post it, it would show up on the front page of Patch news for at least a short while. If you know a better way let me know 2) I eat cactus after jets run into them. 3) YOU might try to look up to.. see....your......uh....OK ...look, The jets were very high up, and difficult to pinpoint. Light travels at 186,000 per second and sound....well I am sure you know the rest. And oh, the sound banks off the mnts., and give a sound like you are in side a giant bowl. Is that goog enough for you ? P.S. I take all sarcasm as fun. And have givin it back in the same spirit. I am gone for the rest of today. It is desert time.

Does anybody know a singing guy by any chance who sings way off tone in the mountains? I hear him roughly every day but not in the pass week.
Chris September 02, 2012 at 02:04 AM
You talk too much... P.S. Do you ever hear some guy singing in the mountains? I catch him and hear him EVERY single time I'm hiking. The next time I hear him I'm going to give him a flayer for singing lessons and maybe that will help.....

Chris, I am dead serious here. I am afraid it just might be me. I really want to know. Give me any description, and where you hear the singing. I broke my toe 10 days ago, and can't run for a while. Please get back on this. Thanx
Chris September 02, 2012 at 04:00 AM
Am I smart or what?
Chris September 02, 2012 at 04:00 AM

Chris September 02, 2012 at 04:05 AM
Oh and I hear you at Griffith park and Eaton Canyon. I've heard you sing Turn the car around. And you broke your toe? How?
not Carl Peterson lll September 02, 2012 at 04:06 AM
Well, Lots of people sing in the mountains. Can you give me anything that would describe the person, area, and/or time of day?

Singing loud in the mountains, off key is part of the endorphin rush. I heard someone doing it about 15 years ago and was so impressed that he didn't care what anyone thought. It also works as a lion, and bear Repellant. It is proven by the fact that I am still here.

I've heard a man singing in Eaton Canyon, perhaps near the bridge. It was probably around 9 am and while I couldn't tell if it was off-key, it was loud. I found it rather charming. And I'm glad the woman who was rescued was uninjured ....

Perhaps the increasing number of injured hikers will convince the County to approve applications for new cell towers. They would make it easier to locate persons needing help.

But what about the JETS (and I don't mean the team)?? Also, too bad the Patch doesn't have spell check!! That being said, I do hope the injured hiker is ok and on the mend!
