The Week At A Glance

So, how's school?  The first week is always the hardest; just ask these Altadena students, circa 1909.

PUSD has some new resources this year. Throughout the week, we'll post info about what's on offer.

1. In September, PUSD will have a Twilight School -- after-school assistance for high school students who hope to raise their grades and gain necessary credits towards graduation and college admission. We'll have more on this later today.

2. The PUSD duo-language immersion classes are expanding.

3. Aside from school, the big news in Altadena this week is the Town Council meeting on Tuesday, 7 p.m., at Altadena Community Center,  Altadena Drive. The public can weigh-in on all sorts of issues. Early on, there's a discussion regarding Town Council Officer selection.  We'll post the latest link to the TC agenda tomorrow. 

4. For fun and delicious stuff, look forward to the Altadena Farmers' Market on Wednesday.

5. A concert at Farnsworth on Saturday, featuring Celtic-American music from Those Manning Bhoys.
