About Fronnie
Fronnie is a freelance writer/blogger and a long time resident of Southern California. Home is the always interesting community/entertainment town of Burbank. She has a B.A. degree in journalism/communications from Stanford University. Also, she completed a certificate program in writing for film and television at UCLA. Right now, she is finishing up a training program as a web specialist.
While in the Bay Area, she began a career in television news and that brought her to the Southland, where she worked as a staff newswriter at NBC-4 until going freelance in 2004.
She has received several journalism accolades, including an award for investigative reporting from the Los Angeles Press Club and a Golden Mike from the Radio and Television News Association of Southern California for Best Broadcast Writing.
In February of 2007, she became a featured blogger for the Valley News, a short-lived citizen journalism website run by the Los Angeles Daily News. Several of her blog reports and photos were published in the print edition of the Daily News as well.
Then in June of 2008, she launched her own blog, which evolved into Media City Groove -- a site that focuses on news, entertainment, features, opinion, and whatever sparks interest in the media city of Burbank and elsewhere. She is the reporter, columnist, editor, and blog manager for the site.
