Kate Ryan, Neighbor

A documentary filmmaker who has worked in over twenty-two countries around the world, Kate Ryan is excited to be documenting local stories in her hometown of Los Angeles.  

Raised in Seattle, Washington, Kate cut her teeth shooting promos for NGO's throughout Africa, Eastern Europe, and Central America.  In 2001, she moved to Los Angeles to attend film school at Cal State Northridge, where she made her thesis film, "Point of View: A dogumentary".  The film went on to win a Student Emmy Award. 

A recent newlywed, Kate splits her time between cooking with her husband, working her day job as an editor for reality TV, and editing her latest documentary, "Dark End of the Street".
