Arroyo Food Co-op --Give a Little, Get a Little

If you'd like the Arroyo Food Co-op to open its doors sooner rather than later, here are a couple of new ways to help.

The Co-op will be holding a yard sale this Saturday. You can donate some gently used items for resale, and/or drop by the yard sale and buy someone else's gently used items. Proceeds go towards the Co-op's capital campaign.

If whatever you buy is in less than perfect working or wearing condition, you have an open invitation to visit the following week's Repair Cafe. The Repair Cafe is a fairly regular community gathering where people can bring anything that needs a little TLC. At this particular one, there will be seamstresses, someone from JPL who likes to tinker with electronics (even toasters), as well as a knife-sharpener. And it's free.

Everything -- donation drop-offs, yard sale, and Repair Cafe -- takes place at the Arroyo Food Co-op location, 494 N. Wilson Av, Pasadena.
