Detectives Still Investigating Altadena Shooting Death 15 Years Later

Altadena resident Johnis Jackson was gunned down when he was 18 years old and attending John Muir High School, according to the Pasadena Star-News.

Fifteen years after a lifelong Altadena resident was “gunned down in a cowardly fashion,” detectives and loved ones are still looking to find the person or persons responsible for the crime, the Pasadena Star-News reported Sunday.

Johnis Jackson, 18, was a member of an Altadena street gang and was killed on June 21, 1997 at Fair Oaks Avenue and Harriet Street while walking back to his car with a friend.

Detectives are asking for the public’s help in gaining more information about Jackson’s killer or killers.
