Deputies Arrest Altadena Man Suspected of Kidnapping, Assaulting Girlfriend

The alleged incident occurred on July 4 after the suspect arrived at his girlfriend's San Gabriel home to speak about their daughter, according to the Altadena Sheriff's Station.

An Altadena man was arrested July 4 after allegedly assaulting and kidnapping his girlfriend from San Gabriel.

The Altadena Sheriff’s Station shared the following about the reported incident:

Thursday, July 4, 2013, at 12:30 a.m., deputies from Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department's Altadena station arrested an Altadena resident suspected of kidnapping and assaulting his girlfriend from San Gabriel. 

The suspect, a male 20 years old, arrived at the victim's home to speak with her about their daughter. The conversation became argumentative and the suspect allegedly pushed her to the ground and forced her into his vehicle. The suspect drove her around for approximately three hours and finally released her.

Deputies from Temple station had initiated a crime broadcast with information provided by witnesses that she was taken against her will. Deputies from the Altadena station, using the information provided in the crime broadcast, went to the suspect's last know residence in Altadena and discovered his car in the drive way. 

The suspect voluntarily surrendered himself to deputies and was placed under arrest for Kidnapping and Assault. He was booked at Temple Sheriff’s Station were Temple station detectives are handling the investigation.
