Altadena Town Councilman Resigns

Bill Ward, who served only four months on the council, said he will move out of state.

Bill Ward, who was elected to the Altadena Town Council in June, announced his resignation from the council, representing Census Tract 4612, today.

Ward, a 12-year resident of Altadena, cited his decision to move out of state as the reason for his resignation.

Ward wrote in a statement:

"I write to you now to resign my position as Altadena Town Councilman representing Census Tract 4612, effective today. I am moving to another state with my family and selling my home in Altadena, and therefore will no longer be a resident. It was an honor to be elected by my neighbors and a privilege to serve for the short time that I did."
