Late-Night Hikers Rescued

Four men and two women were found safe after getting lost in the Angeles National Forest, authorities said.

Six hikers were escorted to safety after getting lost on a late-night excursion in the Angeles National Forest around 1 a.m. Saturday, according to officers at the .

Four young men and two young women called for help about 2:30 a.m. Saturday to report they had become lost while hiking on Sunset Ridge Trail, said Sgt. Debra Herman of the Crescenta Valley Sheriff's Station to the San Gabriel Valley Tribune.

The group was discovered within two hours, Herman said. No injuries were reported.
