Community Corner
Help PMCA promote local musicians AND participate in California's largest free music festival!
At the Pasadena Museum of California Art (PMCA), we're committed to presenting the breadth of California art and design through exhibitions, educational programs, and community events.
On June 1st, the PMCA will partner with California's largest FREE music festival—for the first time AND as the only participating museum in Pasadena—to further promote California culture. Reaching beyond the visual arts to include music, we will showcase local, up-and-coming musicians at our venue from 12–5pm. The PMCA will offer discounted museum admission to patrons and have three food trucks and a beer garden available.

Some background on the festival:
Spanning 12 hours, 20 city blocks, and 100+ stages, this Pasadena-based music festival returns on Saturday, June 1, 2013. It features Grammy-award winning and platinum-recording artists, along with homegrown and emerging talent. Yearly, the event draws over 50,000 festival-goers and targets a multi-generational and culturally-diverse audience with a key target of ages 18–45-years-old.
Executing a large-scale event and operating a non-profit art museum require many resources—as does making these offerings accessible and inexpensive (or free!). With your help, our museum can extend its community involvement and outreach to a wider audience.
