Not too long today after I entered my favorite hiking spot, the Gabrielino Trail, which takes you past the Jet Propulsion Lab before entering the Angeles National Forest, I came across this obstacle course.
Healthy adult hikers and bikers can pass through, but I had my 2-year-old daughter in a stroller with me, as well as a dog on a leash. It looked a little too adventurous to be worth it, so I turned around.
I'm not sure what the construction is for and how long the trail is going to be torn up, but I will find out. In the meantime, people with small kids might want find another trail.
