Altadena Deputies Announce Addition To Parking Enforcement

The Parking Enforcement Detail from the Altadena Sheriff's Station has added a second parking control officer, authorities announced last week.

Prior to the addition, only one parking control officer patrolled Altadena streets, said Captain John Benedict at the Jan. 8 Altadena Coalition of Neighborhood Associations. The extra officer will allow authorities to better address parking issues, authorities said.

Parking Enforcement is comprised of eight headquarters and 81 parking control officers spanning 16 stations. Officers issue citations to owners whose vehicles are parked in violation of the law and respond to residential complaints regarding illegally parking vehicles.

Altadena's parking control officers work Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. To report possible parking violations, call (626) 798-1131.
