Altadena Historical Society to Hold Mt. Lowe Railway Lecture

The October 22 lecture on the historical mountain railway above Altadena is free and open to the public.

The Altadena Historical Society will present a lecture on the history of the Mt. Lowe Railway on October 22.

The lecture will be given by Altadena resident Mike Manning and will include photos, postcards, artifacts, brochures, and maps illustraing the rail line's history.

Built in 1893, the rail way accessed a hotel, tavern and including various other tourist attractions, all in the mountains above Altadena.

The lecture will start at 7:30 p.m. and will be held at the Altadena Community Center.  It is free and open to the public.
