Expect Trail Delays on the Sam Merrill This Week

As we recently reported, an SCE project will affect trail traffic in our local hills for the next month or more. This week, the technicians are stringing wire over portions of the Sam Merrill Trail that lead up to Echo Mountain. Expect intermittent delays of about 15 minutes, starting at the 1 mile mark. 

If you hike on a tight schedule, best to choose another trail this week. If, however, you're not on a strict schedule, enjoy the show. There's some very impressive flying going on -- the helicopter travels backwards to string the wire.
