Local Event Celebrates "Food Day 2012"
Arroyo Food Co-op and Altadena Farmers Market will join other Altadena/Pasadena organizations for film screening, presentation on sustainable agriculture and food, October 24th.
The Arroyo Food Co-op invites the community to celebrate Food Day 2012 with a screening of the movie "Fresh" on Wednesday, October 24. The event takes place at 6:30 p.m. at the Altadena Public Library, 600 E. Mariposa Street in Altadena.
Directed by Ana Sofia Joanes, “Fresh” is a documentary on sustainable agriculture and practices, featuring notables in the movement such as Joel Salatin, Will Allen, Michael Pollan, and George Naylor.
Representatives from Arroyo Food Co-op, Muir Ranch, Altadena Farmers Market, and other local organizations will give a brief presentation prior to the screening.
