Gas Prices Drop for 34th Straight Day

The average price for a gallon of self-serve regular gas is $3.856, the lowest since Jan. 31.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County decreased Thursday for the 34th consecutive day, falling eight-tenths of a cent to $3.856, its lowest amount since Jan. 31.

The average price is 4.8 cents less than one week ago, 25.5 cents lower than one month ago and 26.3 cents below what it was one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price has decreased 26.4 cents over the past 34 days, including seven-tenths of a cent on Wednesday.

The Orange County average price decreased today for the 33rd consecutive day, falling 1 cent to $3.827, its lowest amount since Jan. 30. It is 4 cents less than one week ago, 26.4 cents lower than one month ago and 26.8 cents below what it was one year ago.

The Orange County average price has fallen 27.6 cents over the past 33 days, including six-tenths of a cent on both Tuesday and Wednesday.
