Remembering Victor McClinton Event at Altadena Church Wednesday

Children and families can share their feelings, pray, create art or sit and reflect on the death of community advocate Victor J. McClinton, who was fatally shot Christmas Day.

The shooting death of Victor McClinton, who founded and was director of Brotherhood Community Youth Sports League in Pasadena, has impacted the Pasadena and Altadena communities in a significant way since it occurred.

A candelight vigil was held for McClinton last week and a peace rally was held near Pasadena City Hall Sunday where Pasadena and Altadena leaders and officials expressed that something needs to change in the wake of recent gang-related violence in both communities.

Children and adults can now reflect on McClinton’s death however they feel most comfortable at an event at First Presbyterian Church of Altadena from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday night.

For two hours, the community will have a space to grieve, whether they want to sit and pray with someone that will be there, talk or share with others, read Scripture or create art.

The church is located at 2775 Lincoln Avenue, Altadena, 91001 at the corner of Lincoln and Harriet across from the fire station. The parking lot entrance is off Harriet.

For more information, contact Debra Williams at 626/791-4271 Ext. 302

Do you plan to attend Wednesday? How will you remember McClinton if you knew him?

But as with any major revamp, after the foreign feel to navigating, usually the new way feels comfortable eventually. I am not sure either way yet.

And no one is commenting on any stories anymore. This is because the new format is not userRead More friendly.
