Wanted: Artists with Work that's Altadena-centric

Ben McGinty (of the greatly missed Gallery at the End of the World) will be curating an art show and sale as part of Altadena's birthday celebration on November 3rd. Here’s his request:

I will be accepting submissions for consideration at Steves Bike Shop, 859 E. Mariposa St., Altadena on:

        Saturday, October 13, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

        Thursday, October 18, 3-6 p.m.

We are looking for Altadena-specific art in all media. This means your work must be of a local area scene or relate to the town of Altadena in some manner. I look forward to meeting with you and viewing your work on October 13 or October 18.

The party -- and everyone's invited -- at Farnworth Park on November 3rd will celebrate 125 years of Altadena history. Volunteers are holding a countdown to the big day on Facebook. If you visit, you'll see a new old (i.e., historically-significant) photo every day.
