Rain, Colder Temps Start Thursday

Frost and nightly temperatures in the 30s are in store for Altadena starting early Thursday. Prepare plants and animals for the weather change.

A significant temperature drop and rain are in Altadena’s forecast.

Scattered showers will begin Thursday after 4 a.m. and continue mostly before 10 a.m., the National Weather Service predicts. The chance of rain is 50 percent throughout the rest of the day.

Thursday night’s low is 35 degrees and patchy frost will appear after 10 p.m., NWS reports.

Nightly temperatures will slightly decrease from Thursday through Sunday night. Frost will continue to appear from 10 p.m. through 10 a.m. every day, from Thursday night through early Monday morning.
