Art Break is an annual event of art displays, lectures and workshops that is held by the Altadena Arts Council.

The Arts Council was started to give Altadena children a place to work and experience art programs locally.  Last fall, the council succeeded in opening an art center at the campus of the former Loma Alta Elementary school.
