Black History Month Exhibition Closing Thursday

A public closing reception will take place Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Altadena Community Arts Center.

For those who haven’t seen the Black History Month Exhibition at the Altadena Community Arts Center or want to experience it one last time, it closes Thursday.

The exhibition features a “collection of African sculpture, including a selection on loan from WAJ Collectibles, as well as the works of reknown contemporary American artists Michael Massenburg, Cedric Adams, Ben Sakoguchi, Timothy Washington, and Richard Wyatt, Jr.,” according to the event.

A woman from Texas visiting Altadena family was so eager to see the exhibition that she called the center when they were closed to see if she could have a look and got a private viewing.

You can read more of that story in this Patch blog post.
