Coffee Gallery Backstage Hosting Guitar Workshop

The Western Music Association, California Chapter, is sponsoring the workshop presented by noted guitarist John Nelson.

Those interested in learning more about acoustic guitar techniques will have the chance July 13 when guitarist John Nelson hosts the first of two workshops sponsored by the Western Music Association.

The July 13 session will focus on fingering techniques and styles for acoustic guitar and is appropriate for beginner, intermediate and advanced players. Attendees should bring their acoustic guitar.

-Was one of the original members of the GraceBridge Band and toured internationally and recorded with Mary Rice as her guitar, mandolin, and banjo player.

-Taught at Master's College for ten years, heading their guitar program and has lectured at Pepperdine University and Master's Seminary.

-Has performed live in concert with Christopher Parkening, the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra, Herb Pedersen, Leroy Mack, Todd Johnson, Jennifer York, Barry McGuire, and others.

-Has appeared at the Hollywood Bowl, the Los Angeles Music Center, the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, Opryland, McCabe's, the Autry Museum of the West, Disneyland, Knotts' Berry Farm and all of the best street corners in Hollywood.
