SIXTH ANNUAL ALTADENA ARTBREAK OPENS AT THE TEMPORARY GALLERY@WEBSTER'S

The Altadena Arts Council and the Altadena Community Arts Center are presenting the “Sixth Annual Altadena ARTBreak”, opening on Friday, May 25, 2012 with an opening night reception and continuing through the following Friday, June 1st.  The week-long event will feature an exhibition of the visual arts talent of Altadena and Pasadena area children and youth.  For the second year, ARTBreak will be held at The Temporary Gallery@Webster’s, 2460 North Lake Avenue, (intersection of North Lake and Mariposa).  The Gallery is being held in space donated for the event by the Webster family.

Executive Director, Mary Ann Stevenson invites members of the community to “Come out and celebrate the talent and creativity of our young people, support the important role that the arts can play in their educational development and support our organizations’ efforts.”  It’s also an opportunity to see how an empty store front space has been transformed into an attractive art gallery, thanks to the generosity of the Websters.

Opening night takes place 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.  Gallery hours are Saturday, May 26th, 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm; Sunday, May 27th, 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm; and Monday, May 28th thru Friday, June 1st, 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm.  For information on the Altadena ARTBreak or how you can become  involved with The Altadena Arts Council and Altadena Community Arts Center, call 626-797-5798.
