The Altadena Town Council speaks for YOU! Do you care what they say?

Important decisions are made on your behalf, and you are invited to participate. Will you accept the invitation or wait till after choices are made, and THEN speak out?

Altadena is fortunate to access some of the finest hiking and mountain bike trails in Los Angeles County.  We're centrally located between the beach, the snow, lakes, amusement parks and the high dessert.  We enjoy Pasadena’s Rose Bowl and Old Pasadena, Americana in Glendale and La Canada’s Descanso Gardens, all within just a few minutes’ drive.  Some of our communities are distinct with character and charm; others are being restored to their earlier appeal.

Altadena’s character is delicate; we can improve, by continuing to redevelop our challenged areas or fail as we have with our schools.  Whichever future Altadena claims will be based on how hard we Altadenans are willing to work to shape our own town.  Altadena has a long tradition of volunteer organizations that work on improvement projects, not the least of which is the Altadena Town Council, whom the Los Angeles County Supervisors rely on as the voice of Altadena’s citizenry when making important decisions that affect our quality of life. The Altadena Town Council helps to determine cell tower placement, what you and your neighbors can build on your property, where and how long you can park your vehicles and many more issues that directly impact the way you enjoy your life in Altadena.

In June, the Altadena Town Council held elections to determine who would represent Altadena’s interests to county, state and federal government.  Given the important issues ahead and the role that Council representatives play in determining how those issues play out, this would be the time for Altadenans to participate in the process, enthusiastically supporting candidates that represent their interests and the interests of the town.  Unfortunately, of Altadena’s 44,000+ residents, only 351 cast a vote in this year’s election (less than 0.8% of the population;) and, of the eight seats up for election, only two were contested.

As a newly elected councilman from Dist. 4610, I encourage you to attend this important meeting reminding the Council whom they represent, and to make your regular attendance part of your commitment to be vested and engaged in your future and the future of your town.

If you would like to attend, the meeting will be 7pm at:
