A blogger for the L.A. Times food critic Jonathan Gold's Daily Dish blog has visited the recently opened AltaEats restaurant and found it a "low-key neighborhood spot with an ambitious but accessible menu."
Blogger Cathy Chaplin gave positive reviews to the Duck Hash with Apricot-Chili Jam and Sous-Vide Duck Egg and the Seafood Paella.
AltaEats opened at 1860 N. Allen Avenue in March. The restaurant was originally planned to open in May of 2012 but the owners stuggled to get the necessary county permits to open at that time. The menu can be viewed on the restaurant's website.
