Solar Eclipse 2012 Photos: Images From Down Under

Couldn't be in Australia to view the total solar eclipse? View images from the celestial event.

While Tuesday’s total solar eclipse was seen live from Australia (11:30 a.m. PST), those who weren't across the world can see the images from Huffington Post's image gallery

“Solar eclipses occur when the moon passes between the Earth and the sun, casting a shadow over the Earth. A total solar eclipse blots out the sun entirely,” according to the Huffington Post.

The eclipse lasted almost two hours.
