Barbecue, Salty Chocolate Tonight at the Altadena Farmers Market

Most people would describe main purpose of the regular Wednesday farmers market at Loma Alta Park as a place to get produce, eggs and meat, but this week it's also a place to go for barbecue and salty chocolate ice cream.

This week at the Altadena Farmers Market Bigmista's Barbecue will be serving up prepared food.  The menu includes sliders, sandwiches and other combos that include a choice of pulled pork, pulled chicken, brisket, turkey, tri-tip and pastrami.  The vendor's full menu is listed here.

In addition, regular vendor Mother Moo's Creamery (of Sierra Madre) will feature limited supplies of Salty Chocolate, Pure Vanilla and Peaches N' Cream.  People who want full pints of ice cream can also and order ahead, according to the store's Twitter feed.
