MonteCedro Hosting Public Jazz and Gelato Event

Developers of the MonteCedro senior home project at 2212 N. El Molino Avenue are hosting a public event at their gallery in Pasadena.

Episcopal Communities & Services, the company working on the MonteCedro senior housing development in Altadena, is hosting a public event catered by Altadena's with a musical performance from the Allan Wasserman Jazz band.

The events will be held on July 17 and July 24  at 5:30 p.m. at the MonteCedro Presentation Gallery, 153 E. Holly St., Pasadena.  Those interested can RSVP on the MonteCedro website

The event is outdoors but anybody interested in MonteCedro's plans for the Altadena development can go inside the gallery to check them out.

Bulgarini's will serve a variety of gelato flavors.  The jazz band, headed by outgoing Altadena Town Council member Allan Wasserman will be playing tunes from jazz musicians such as Sonny Rollins, Miles  Davis, Charlie Parker, Oliver Nelson and Horace Silver.

MonteCedro's planned Altadena development is at 2212 N. El Molino Avenue at the vacant lot that once housed the William A. Scripps Home for Aged People.  The Scripps home was closed in 2007 after Episcopal acquired it with the intent of starting a new development on the lot.
