The cakewalk is one of the most beloved aspects of the Hoe Down, with over a dozen homemade cakes and pies as prizes, including a red velvet cake with a marzipan fairy donated by the Hood family, attending for their first year at the school.
The three hour event was organized by the school’s parent council and included freshly prepared lemonade from lemons donated by many of the families, as well as a buffet of grilled hamburgers, veggie burgers, fries and coleslaw with a variety of sliced cakes and pies for desert.
