Crime Blotter: Burglary and Vandalism

Information provided by the Altadena Sheriff's Station for July 28 - Aug. 3

Sunday, July 28th
4:30 PM – A residential burglary occurred in the 1700-block of East Altadena Drive. Suspect described as a male, white, 30-40 years old, 5'8"-6'1", 180-245 pounds. Loss: jewelry.

Monday, July 29th
Between 6:50 PM and 7:30 AM (Tuesday) – A vehicle burglary occurred in the 1800-block of Layton Street. Loss: none.

Tuesday, July 30th
Between 12:00 PM and 12:00 PM (8/5/2013) – A residential burglary occurred in the 2200-block of Norwic Place. Loss: various brand men’s watches. 

6:00 PM – A grand theft from a vehicle occurred in the area of Mt. Curve Avenue & Monterosa Avenue. Suspects described as (3) male, Hispanics, in a burgundy Chrysler 300. Loss: black Mikasa dirt compactor.

Wednesday, July 31st
Between 8:50 PM and 5:00 AM (Thursday) – A vehicle burglary occurred in the 2300-block of Olive Avenue. Loss: personal ID, credit cards.

Between 10:30 PM and 9:00 AM (Thursday) – A commercial burglary occurred at Renaissance Academy, 536 E. Mendocino Street. Loss: (2) black Insignia TV 36.”

Thursday, August 1st
Between 6:30 PM and 8:30 PM – (2) vehicle vandalisms occurred in the 300-block of Ventura Street.

Friday, August 2nd
4:50 PM – Randy Sinclair, 55 yrs, transient, was arrested for possession of stolen property.

Between 6:00 PM and 4:00 PM (Saturday) – A petty theft from an unlocked vehicle occurred in the 700-block of East Mendocino Street. Loss: gray bag.

Between 9:00 PM and 1:10 AM (Saturday) – A vehicle vandalism occurred in the 500-block of East Loma Alta Drive.

Saturday, August 3rd
Between 1:00 AM and 9:00 AM – A vehicle vandalism occurred in the 1800-block of Pepper Drive.

Between 9:30 PM and 8:30 AM (Sunday) – A petty theft occurred in the 2900-block of Sterling Place. Loss: bicycle. 

From July 28th to August 3rd
There were 11 runaway juveniles reported to the Altadena Sheriff Station.
