Altadena Crime Blotter: Residential Burglaries, Grand Thefts

Altadena's latest crime includes several residential burglaries and several thefts, among other crimes.

The following crime information was provided by the Altadena Sheriff's Station:

Sunday, Nov. 4

Between 8:30 p.m. and 7:15 a.m. (Monday) – A vehicle vandalism occurred in the 500-blk of E. Altadena Dr.

Between 9:00 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. (Monday) – A grand theft and vehicle vandalism occurred in the 3100-blk of N. Marengo Ave. Loss: Lumens LED lights, silver Coleman ice chest, red/black Craftsman table saw.

Tuesday, Nov. 6

Between 4 p.m. and 8 a.m. (Wednesday) – A grand theft from a vehicle occurred in the 2300-blk of Galbreth Rd. Loss: silver/black SkillSaw, blue Makita roto hammer, white survey instrument, blue Makita drill.

Wednesday, Nov. 7

Between 10:30 p.m. and 10:40 p.m – A vehicle burglary occurred in the 3300-blk of N. Lake Ave. Suspect(s) entered the vehicle by shattering the front passenger window. Loss: black leather purse containing personal documents. ***Suspect vehicle possibly a late model gray Chevrolet Tahoe, last seen westbound on Loma Alta Dr.

Thursday, Nov. 8

Between 10:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. – A residential burglary occurred in the 3200-blk of Crestford Dr. Suspect(s) attempted to enter the residence by prying the door. Suspect described as a male, Hispanic, 602, 240, brown hair, brown eyes. Suspect was seen entering a gray 2004-2008 Infiniti 2-dr, tinted windows, chrome rims; partial plate G64, driven by a male, Hispanic. No further info.

Between 3:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. – A residential burglary occurred in the 100-blk of W. Pine St. Suspect(s) entered the residence via the unlocked door. Loss: various gold necklaces, gold diamond rings, blue Chicago saw, orange Dewalt drill, red Craftsman drill.

Between 10:00 p.m. and 8:10 a.m. (Friday) – A vehicle vandalism occurred in the 100-blk of E. Woodbury Rd. ***Suspects possibly neighbors***

Friday, Nov. 9

9:00 a.m. – A house fire occurred in the 500-blk of Sunset Dr. ***Fire due to electrical components***

Between 11:00 a.m. and 12:18 p.m. (Tuesday) – A residential burglary occurred in the 1700-blk of Midwick Dr. Suspect(s) entered the residence via the rear sliding door. Loss: wood jewelry box, (2) Rolex watches, (50) cuff links.

Saturday, Nov. 10

Between 1:30 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. (Monday) – A residential burglary occurred in the 2300-blk of Glenrose Av. Suspect(s) attempted to enter the residence by prying the window screen. No entry made, no loss.

Monday, Nov. 12

10:00 p.m. – A residential burglary occurred in the 4100-blk of Canyon Crest Dr. Suspect(s) attempted to enter the residence by shattering the front glass door. No entry made, no loss.

Tuesday, Nov. 13

Between 12:00 p.m. and 12:00 p.m. (Wednesday) – A residential burglary occurred in the 1800-blk of Midlothian Dr. ***Suspects Known***

Wednesday, Nov. 14

1:50 a.m. – Suspect Crisitan Sanchez, 22 yrs, of Pasadena was arrested in the area of Mountain View St. and Fair Oaks Av. for possessions of stolen property. Suspect Sanchez was driving a brown ’98 Chevrolet Blazer.

1:45 p.m. – Suspect Eddie Vasquez, 32 yrs, of Azusa was arrested from grand theft auto and possession of stolen property. The vehicle was stolen from Pasadena.

Between 8:30 p.m. and 8 a.m. (Thursday) – A petty theft of unlocked vehicle occurred in the 1300-blk of Morada Pl. Loss: checkbook.

Between 8:50 p.m. and 9:10 p.m. – A grand theft occurred in the 1700-blk of E. Atchison St. Suspects described as (2) male, Whites or Hispanics, 18-20 yrs, 508-510, 130-140. The suspects approached the victim and asked him if “John” was home. The victim stated no one by that name lives at the location. The victim then observed one of the males reach in the front door and retrieve a bag that was placed on top of the table. Suspects last seen westbound on Atchison St. in a beige sedan. Loss: plastic bag containing checks.

Friday, Nov. 16

6:15 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. – A petty theft occurred at Towne & Country Club, 2290 Country Club Dr. Loss: brown leather wallet.

Between 3 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. – A residential burglary occurred in the 1700-blk of N. Craig Av. Suspect(s) entered the residence via the unlocked window. Loss: gold ring, gold necklace. 1800’s coin collection.

Between 4:00 p.m. and 9 a.m. – A petty theft from an unlocked vehicle occurred in the 2400-blk of N. Holliston Av. Loss: black/gray/blue backpack.

Saturday, Nov. 17

Between 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. – A residential burglary occurred in the 1700-blk of N. Holliston Av. Suspect(s) entered the residence via the bathroom window. Loss: white iPod, (2) pearl necklaces, (2) pearl bracelets.

Between 8:30 p.m. and 10 a.m. (Sunday) – A petty theft from an unlocked vehicle occurred in the 2400-blk of Santa Anita Ave. Loss: roasting pan, mason jars.
