Altadena Sheriff’s Station deputies arrested a Norwalk parolee Tuesday night after he was discovered driving an allegedly stolen car, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement Wednesday.
Cesar Antonio Soto, 33, was driving southbound on Raymond Avenue near Montana Street around 9 p.m. Wednesday when a deputy noticed a taillight was out on the 1995 Honda Civic Soto was driving.
While the deputy drove toward Soto’s car, Soto pulled over and then told the deputy he was on parole for burglary.
When the Altadena deputy ran the Civic’s license plate, he discovered it was an allegedly stolen car that belongs to a woman in Whittier.
Soto was arrested for driving a stolen vehicle and violating parole. His case will be presented at the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office Thursday.
Soto has previous convictions for burglary, narcotics and robbery.
