Deputies Investigating Possible Assault in Altadena

Missing Monrovia woman was located in Irwindale Sunday, alleges she was assaulted on Lake Avenue.

From City News Service

A 21-year-old developmentally disabled woman from Monrovia who went missing while visiting family in Pasadena, was located Sunday in Irwindale, authorities said.

Chelsea McGuire -- who has the mental capacity of a 10-year-old -- was found on a bus bench on Foothill Boulevard, according to Pasadena police.

She had last been seen about 10 a.m. Saturday in the 200 block of South El Molino Avenue, police said.

McGuire was taken to a hospital, where deputies were sent to investigate a possible assault against her on Lake Avenue in Altadena, Los Angeles County sheriff's Sgt. Brian Mann said.

He had no detailed information on McGuire's condition, but Pasadena police Sgt. Vasken Gourdikian said he was told the woman was in good health.
