A hiker was plucked off the side of a cliff by the County Fire Department on Tuesday morning, according to department Inspector Brian Riley.

The team was able to pull the hiker off the cliff, into the helicopter, and then airlifted him to a nearby school where they had enough room to land and drop the hiker off, Riley said.
The rescue is the second in a 24-hour period: another hiker fell at Eaton Canyon on Monday, though a helicopter was not required for assistance in the case.
