A man shot and killed himself in the parking lot of the Eaton Canyon Nature Center on Tuesday evening, according to Lt. Rick Aversano of the Pasadena Police Department.
The man had called 911 around 7 p.m, just prior to pulling the trigger, and told the dispatchers they could find his body at the Nature Center parking lot, Aversano said.
The department sent out a helicopter, as well as officers and medical responders, but by the time they arrived on the scene the man was dead, according to Aversano.
