Two Men Rob Woman at Gunpoint in East Altadena

Deputies are looking for two male robbery suspects armed with a gun on Thursday afternoon.

Updated: Nobody has been brought into Sheriff's Department custody, according to Lt. Tonya Edwards of the Crescenta Valley Station.

Original: Deputies from the Altadena Sheriff's Station are looking for two armed robbery suspects in East Altadena, according to Sgt. Debra Herman of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

The robbery involved a firearm and occured near the intersection of Washington Boulevard and Craig Avenue, right on the border of Altadena and Pasadena shortly before 1:30 p.m.

According to a deputy on scene, Officer Anderson, a female victim was sitting in her car when the two men approached the window and pointed a gun at her.  She lost approximately $400 in cash he said.

Deputies are still searching for the suspects, Anderson said.

The car of the victim, which was parked in front of an apartment complex at Washington Boulevard, can be viewed at right.

A search of Sheriff's Department and Pasadena Police Department data on crimemapping.com indicates that there have been only two other robberies reported within a one-mile radius of the scene of the crime in the last six months.  During that time, though, there have been 43 burglaries and 24 vehicle break-ins reported.
