Sheriff's Rescue Helicopter Team Lifts Hiker Off Trail Near Altadena
The hiker was rescued Monday afternoon.
A hiker suffering from severe dehydration on a trail north of Altadena was lifted out by a sheriff's rescue helicopter team on Monday afternoon.
The hiker was reported missing before 2 p.m., says county fire Inspector Tony Akins. The call initially came from the 600 block of East Devonwood Road, Akins said. The hiker, a man, started somewhere from Montrose Drive and headed north.
