County Storing Tree Debris at Multiple Altadena Sites

As part of the wind storm clean-up efforts, the County Public Works Department will be temporarily dumping tree debris at several sites in Altadena and elsewhere.

County crews have started to dump tree debris that is being cleaned off area city streets at multiple county flood channels, including several in Altadena.

Residents nearby the areas where the dumping is occurring should be prepared for the operations to continue for as long as three months, according to Kerjon Lee of the Public Works Department.

The intention is to reduce the tree debris to mulch and haul it off the site by this summer to avoid any fire hazards, according to Lee.
