Help Nominate Altadena 'Woman of the Year'

Adam Schiff, Altadena's congressional representative, is holding open nominations for his 'Woman of the Year' awards. Each community in his district, including Altadena, will have a resident honored.

Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Pasadena, is accepting nominations of Altadena residents for his 'Woman of the Year' award.

The award is given out every March during Woman's History Month, according to Schiff's press release.

There are no specific criteria for how to select a recipient but Schiff's staff wrote that he looks for woman who "through their work or volunteerism have improved the quality of life in our community."

Nominations should be sent to Mary.Hovagimian@mail.house.gov , including:

  • A written description of the nominee’s accomplishments
  • The home address, phone number and e-mail of the nominee
  • Your name and contact information

The deadline for nominations is February 15, 2012.
