500 Without Power: Edison spokeswoman Mashi Nyssen says there are about 500 in Altadena still without power as of 12:42 p.m.  She said she hopes to be able to provide another update late in the afternoon or early evening.

Storm Damage Hotline: The Los Angeles County Office of Emergency Management has actived a hotline where residents can report damage from the wind storm.  You can call 1-800-980-4990 or just 2-1-1.

Get Sheriff's Department Updates Via Text Message: If you want to get information from the department on the wind storm damage and be on the list for texts for future emergencies, text LASAFETY to 888777

As of Tuesday morning, SoCal Edison is reporting there are 9,987 customers without power in county.  The utility also tweeted last night that Altadena is down to 516 households without power, though as , that came just a few hours after they told us they were at 4,000.

  • SoCal Edison officials will be at Tuesday's Board of Supervisors meeting.  for information on the meeting and how to watch it.
  • The Pasadena Star-News has an interesting story on the storm's effects on hummingbirds and other local wildlife, which features some Altadenans.  They also have a good story on some people for who the power outages were more than just a inconvienence.
  • The Edison distribution center at will again be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today.  Flashlights, batteries, ice, and water will be available.
  • Another is coming this weekend.
