Cash for College Financial Aid Workshop

  • The California Student Aid Commission presents California Cash for College. This workshop serves to assist all high school students in obtaining the financial aid they require in order to attend a four-year or community college of their choice.

Workshops will be held: Thursday, January 20, 2011, 3:00pm to 7:00pm; Saturday, January 29, 2011, 9:00am to 1:00pm; and Thursday, February 10, 2011, 3:00pm to 7:00pm.

To begin, you must submit a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and your Cal Grant GPA Verification. These documents must be submitted prior to March 2, 2011. You will have the opportunity to file the FAFSA using computers at the workshop, following the opening presentation. Thousands of dollars in financial aid and scholarships are available. In addition, if you fill out the exit survey prior to leaving the workshop, you could win an additional $1,000 scholarship.
