Jackson Elementary Student Wins Martin Luther King Jr. Essay Contest

The Pasadena Unified School District announced the winners of its annual Martin Luther King Jr. essay and art contest, and one winner is from Jackson Elementary.

The Pasadena Unified School District announced 18 winners of its annual Martin Luther King Jr. essay and art contest winners, and one of the students is from an Altadena school.

Andrea de la Torre, a fifth-grader at , won first prize in the essay contest in the elementary school level category.

The essay and art contest each have three winners, first, second, and third place, at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.  The full list of winners is listed below:
